My name is Isken Cosip, designer, illustrator, conceptual thinker, and brand keeper. I’m curious, caffeinated, colorful....and happen to be good at design. CloudLibrary was acquired by OCLC in early 2024, and I was given the opportunity to lead the visual branding initiative. I designed the high level deliverables such as the logo and different variations, defining the color palette, establishing a recurring visual pattern, and the use cases through different media.

My tenure at Bath and Body Works and White Barn taught me how to design to a market that I wasn’t normally accustomed to. As a young designer, I created assets for a female audience which proved challenging in the beginning. Part of this exercise was to envision the store experience holistically and understand the human interaction within it.

Caffeine Six Racing is an entrant to the 2023 LeMans Cup Series. The team, made up of Pro-Am duo (Anders Fjordbach and Tim Creswick respectively), hired ICM Designs (me) to design the Porsche 991 with the goal of being visible on TV, as well as standing out from the rest of the field. The success of the design saw LeMans Cup as an organization promoting it heavily on their social channels.

Often in tech, is a disconnect between designers and developers. It’s the disparity of right brain and left brainthat leaves a lot of good inventions not resonating with the audience: it’s either too pretty and doesn’t work, or it works fluidly but is visually obsolete. My team and I were presented with a problem at the 11th hour with this app redesign. The technology itself is robust, but if left not curated, risks seeming visually outdated. While understanding that librarians prefer text-heavy design, I wanted the app to be easily navigable by the general public. The end result was met with overall positive reception. In this presentation, I included the different variations and options of the user interface of the app.

This project saw me storyboard, design, and direct the photography for the 2016 Big Lots Holiday Catalog. Each spread needed to feel unique and appeal to the different demographics that we were aiming for. Our team outsourced the studio and we shot photography on location, but the best part of this project...acting like I was 5 again and playing with toys in staging.
