app redesign
Often in tech, is a disconnect between designers and developers. It’s the disparity of right brain and left brain that leaves a lot of good inventions not resonating with the audience. My team and I were presented with a problem at the 11th hour with this app redesign. While understanding that librarians prefer text-heavy design, I wanted the app to be easily navigable by the general public. The end result was met with overall positive reception. In this presentation, I included the different variations and options of the user interface of the app.
big lots
toy catalog
This project saw me storyboard, design, and direct the photography for the 2016 Big Lots Holiday Catalog. Each spread needed to feel unique and appeal to the different demographics that we were aiming for. Our team outsourced the studio and we shot photography on location, but the best part of this project...acting like I was 5 again and playing with toys in staging, creating different worlds for each of these toys.
1Q84
book redesign
1Q84 was a personal project out of a desire to see something different. It tells the story of Tengo and Aomame, and an alternate dimension with two moons. I wanted the book cover to represent that disparity and the differences between the two worlds.
